The skin I'm In, a novel by Sharon G. Flake

The book that I'm reading is about a girl call Maleeka Madison, she struggles with self-acceptance because she is constantly being tease by her peers, for being dark skinned. She try to fit in, but doesn't get far because she not acting like her true self, only what people label her as. But when Maleeka first lays eyes on her new teacher Miss Saunders, she begin to accept her self for who she really was on the inside. She encounters someone who was, well, she feels is worse than she is. miss Saunders's skin was blotch with a uncommon skin condition, she was like a mirror to Maleeka's struggles and low self-esteem. She taught her how to love and accept her self for who she is in the inside. What i like about this book is that, the story teaches a lesson on how to deeply love you for you, and not constantly being worried about self appearance or what might others think of you. what i dislike about this book was, when Maleeka was being made fun of and tease in school by her classmates simply because she was a dark skin. I can't image going through anything like that but, i personally disagree with that. We all are different and unique and we shouldn't be judge for standing out. What can someone learned from reading this book is appreciating and having a better judgment of people base on their character, but not so such on their appearances. And the reason why you should read this book is because, its a great book and it teaches you allot about self acceptance. I give it a five star, Soumahya!

Independent Reading Book Review

What I liked about the book “The Color Of Water” was how the character explains how what his going through affects him and hives a lot of details about what he went though. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the book because I liked this book very much it made me picture the setting and put myself in the characters situation as if it was happening to me. I was very happy to read this book. What people could learn from reading this book is about how different things use to be back in those days. Everything that has to do with racism and been diverse as in terms of race. I really recommend this book to people because I think they will enjoy and learn new things from the book “The Color Of Water” I think all kind of people would like this book because is a god book. I would rate this book a 4 star because it just made me want to keep reading and interested in what was going to happen next. In my opinion, this is the best book I’ve read during the time I’ve been in this school and I was very happy to have the joy of reading this book. I also liked how it was based on things that really happen and it was on a person that was discriminated against during those times which made me feel sad and at the same time happy that people don’t have to go through things like that no more.

Hey What's Up Jesse It's Carlos. My Book is Called Twilight Eclipse. Twilight Eclipse is the second sequel to the Twilight Saga. Twilight Eclipse is about Bella is back together with Edward But They Have Trouble when Victoria comes back to kill Bella with her New breed of Vampires and Jacob and his Pack of Werewolves decide to help to kill Victoria and Her Clan of new breed of Vampires. The Voltori also comes to Bella's Home Town to see if she is a Vampire or she will die. In the end of the book Bella Marry's Edward. I like that that book presented different Types of Genres. Like Action, Drama,Romance,and Adventure. I think the book was perfect in it's own way. Hek Yeah I would recommend this book to somebody.I would recommend this book to people who like Vampires,Werewolves,and Romance. My Favorite Character is Jacob Because I like Werewolves.I always loved Werewolves and i always wanted to be come one. Jacob as a scene of leadership that the other Werewolves don't have that's why he is my favorite character.I WOULD GIVE 5 OUT OF 5 STARS !!!!!!Thanks See Ya

this book is about thses girls and about their mothers and different storys about what had happend to them and their lifes. One thing i like about this book is that it has different story about these girls life but one thing that i dislike about this is that the book is kind off difficing. Something that someone that someone could learned from this book is storys about this girls lifes. I would recomend this book to people that like to read novels. I would give this a 4 star. :)

This book is about a guy that gets in trouble in school for making a graffity and also about a lot of things that he goes thru like a girl he likes he gets into a fight he becomes popular.He's whole life Tyler has been a loser but as so he thought that doing something bad would make him famous.Tyler falls in love with bethany a popular girl and his fathers boss daughter.His parents had always been a little self-concious about their class range theyre "wanna be's".When he starts senior year everything changes for him he finally becomes someone.

i like this book because it entertains me and it has interesting topics and events.
i disliked this book a little bit because there were some parts were it was boring.
Something that someone could learn from this book is how a guy can be when he likes a girl a lot and how guys got feelings too.The type of person that might like this book is a teenager because it has alot of teenage events.
i rate this book with :5 stars.

In the book Sexy Girl it’s about a girl name Kate, she been living with foster parents seen she was little, she wants to badly to be out she’s twirling pretty, partying and get the attention of her longtime crush name Charles. Charles only see Kate like a best friend, well that only happened at the beginning. Later on she meets Felicia, she was a type of girl that would dress all open and sexy she was the attention of any man. Felicia and Kate became more close after Kate best friend lives to a school trip. Felicia changed Kate the way she dresses, Felicia made Kate more sexy and attractive. It wasn’t a bad idea but not a good idea also. It was a good idea because she got the attention of Charles. Although everything wasn’t pretty because later on Kate found out that Felicia and Charles had hooked up. I put this book in one of my favorites because it talked about romance and about a young girl’s life. Also what I liked about this book is the way the author use the setting, the way the author used a lot of different places and it wasn’t just one setting. I did like the ending of this book because I was waiting for the main character to stay with the guy that she was in love with, also it didn’t say what happened with the girl’s life if she continue living with her foster parents. I wanted to know if Kate kept the makeover that Felicia did for her. There’s some things that people could learn about this book and is that you can’t trust any girl and call someone a friend unto you truly know her. Also you could learn that there are still kids that live with foster parents and that it’s better to be yourself and not act like someone else. I would definitely recommend this book to someone because they would definitely read a book that would make them not even watch TV, I read this book everywhere I was at including when I was in the train. People that would like to read this book, would be people that like teenage love. If I could read this book once again I would do it and I definitely give this book a 10!!

In this book is about a girl that is rich girl ,so in school she shows off to everyone .so she kind of like some guys that she attracted . The main character of the book was Evan .And she think she's a beautiful girl because she's rich and her family give her anything that she wanted. The problem is that he get tired of waiting for her so he end up going out with another girl. What I like about this book was that it was about a girl falling in love with a guy so she obsesses with him but they don't know what to do because other people see her wrong . One think that i dislike about the book is that they don't end up going out because in school there's a lot of drama .And she care what people said about them .And that's not cool .Someone can learn from this book not to pay attention to people .And if someone likes someone to prove it to that person and express their feeling .And don't listen what other people. I recommend this book to other people to read it and learn from it because it's a good book and it could express people's feeling because it's about teenagers that like someone .The type of person that might like the book is a teenager because teenagers could understand it . In this book i will rate 4 stars because I really like it because it's about a teenage girl that is rich And she likes some guy from the school .And other girl are jealous because they like each other .
